The Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025, launched by the Ministry of Education in partnership with NITI Aayog and the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), is a nationwide initiative to inspire students toward innovation and problem-solving. Nearly 2.5 lakh schools across India are participating, giving young learners a unique platform to develop creative solutions and showcase their talent.
In a video message, Group Captain and Brand Ambassador of the Buildathon, Shubhanshu Shukla, said the event provides an opportunity for students in Grades 6 to 12 to express creativity and technical skills. Moreover, he highlighted that every idea contributes to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
He urged students to design practical prototypes that address real-life challenges. For example, projects can promote Vocal for Local and embrace Swadeshi innovation. In addition, the Buildathon encourages teamwork and hands-on learning.
The initiative also aligns with India’s goal to nurture a generation of innovators who build a self-reliant and technologically advanced nation. As a result, millions of young learners gain experience in ideation, prototyping, and presentation. Therefore, the Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025 is a key step toward achieving the long-term goal of Viksit Bharat 2047.
