Uttar Pradesh: Notice about insects in midday meal flour was served at the school
Insects were found in the midday meal flour at Kalan tehsil’s Ganeshpur Primary School during a recent inspection. As a result, Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) Ranvijay Singh intervened and sent instructors at the school a notice. On Saturday, Singh made a personal visit to the school to discuss the alarming results.
The examination revealed that the school continued to use a fireplace for cooking even though the government had given it a gas cylinder and stove. When the components used to make the midday meal were examined more closely, it was discovered that the flour included insects.
Singh sent a formal notification to the teachers, expressing the seriousness of the situation and emphasizing the necessity for corrective action. He threatened severe penalties for those proved to be at fault at oversight.
Singh’s inspection not only found problems at Ganeshpur Primary School but also disparities in other educational establishments. Three of the six schools we visited had teachers who weren’t in the classroom. Furthermore, there were a lot fewer kids in these institutions than there were enrolled.
Furthermore, it was discovered that the majority of the schools surveyed lacked the adoption of digital attendance, which is an essential component of upholding accountability and transparency. Realizing how serious these problems were, Singh declared the creation of a committee to look into the errors in detail.
The committee’s conclusions will determine what legal action should be taken against the teachers who were deemed to have engaged in misconduct or neglect. The authorities’ dedication to maintaining the integrity and caliber of education in the area is demonstrated by this all-encompassing strategy.
