PM Modi announces new CBSE office in Dubai, to provide best education in UAE
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the opening of a new Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) office in Dubai, underscoring India’s commitment to providing top-notch education in the UAE. Speaking at the ‘Ahlan Modi’ diaspora event in Abu Dhabi, PM Modi highlighted the significant strides in education, with plans for the CBSE office in Dubai aimed at benefiting the Indian community. He also praised the cultural ties between India and the UAE, emphasizing linguistic similarities and mutual achievements. PM Modi recalled his warm reception during his initial visit to the UAE in 2015 and highlighted India’s global recognition for infrastructure projects, tourism, and sports. He emphasized India’s growing influence on the world stage, stating that India stands with its people in times of crisis. The event drew overwhelming enthusiasm from the Indian diaspora, with registrations closing due to high attendance. PM Modi also held bilateral discussions with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, signing several memoranda of understanding, including one on interlinking instant payment platforms. He addressed the significance of the IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi Campus in fostering bilateral collaboration and bringing together youth from both countries. The campus, a joint initiative between IIT Delhi and Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge, aims to provide quality higher education and promote innovation and research partnerships.
