The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the dates for the JEE Mains 2025 Session 2, scheduled for April. Here’s everything you need to know, including the exam schedule, how to download the exam city slip, and important details for candidates.
JEE Mains 2025 Session 2 Schedule:
- Exam Dates: The JEE Mains 2025 Session 2 exams will take place from April 2 to April 9 in an online format.
- B.E/B.Tech Paper 1 (Online Exam):
- Dates: April 2, 3, 4, and 7, 2025
- Shifts: Morning Shift (9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon) and Afternoon Shift (3:00 PM to 6:00 PM)
- Architecture Exam (Offline Exam):
- Date: April 9, 2025
- The drawing test for candidates applying for the architecture exam will be conducted in offline mode.
Key Details to Remember for JEE Mains 2025 Session 2:
- Exam Dates: April 2–4, April 7, and April 9, across both morning and afternoon shifts.
- Admit Card Release: NTA is expected to release admit cards in the last week of March, about 3 days before the exam.
- Exam City Intimation Slip: The slip will be available in the second week of March. Candidates can check the official website to download it.

- Visit the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in
- On the homepage, look for the link titled ‘JEE Main Session 2 Exam City Slip.’
- Enter your login details and click on ‘Submit.’
- The exam city slip will be generated, which you can download for further reference.
What Happens After Clearing JEE Mains 2025?
- Successful candidates will be eligible for admission to NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and other participating institutes via the JoSAA counselling process.
- Additionally, the top 2.5 lakh JEE Mains 2025 candidates will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2025, providing an opportunity to gain admission to IITs across India.
