New Delhi, May 21, 2025 — The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the question paper pattern for the Accountancy subject in the ongoing Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduates (CUET UG) 2025. The decision comes in the midst of the examination cycle to ensure better alignment between the syllabus and the question paper structure.
CUET UG 2025 commenced on May 13 and is scheduled to continue until June 3, with tests being conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across various centres in India and select international locations. The exam includes 37 subjects, encompassing 13 language papers, 23 domain-specific subjects, and one General Aptitude Test.
📌 Key Change in Accountancy Paper
According to the latest update from the NTA, the Accountancy paper will now offer students a choice between questions from Unit 5 or an optional section related to Unit 5. The rest of the paper will continue to be based on Units 1 to 4, following the previously notified syllabus.
This revised pattern will be implemented for all candidates appearing for the Accountancy exam from May 22, 2025 onwards.
🔄 Re-Appear Option for Earlier Candidates
In a move to ensure fairness, the NTA has announced that candidates who took the Accountancy paper between May 13 and May 16 will be given an option to either retain their previous attempt or re-appear under the revised pattern.
The NTA will notify these eligible candidates through its official website and provide further instructions in the coming days.
