Karnataka: These PU test aces discovered they didn't require private instruction to crack the boards.
One of the top candidates in the commerce stream of the second PU exams in Karnataka, which were revealed on Wednesday, boasts of having competed in classical dance competitions that hold world records.
Battepatti Ashritha, an Andhra Pradesh native, came in third place in the commerce stream with a score of 595. Her rank is shared by sixteen other people.
Ashritha, who is from Andhra Pradesh, told EducationWorld that her desire to study business is what brought her to the nearby city of Chikkaballapur in Karnataka. “Commerce receives virtually little attention in my state. I’ve noticed that it’s more common here. I therefore made the choice to continue my education here by moving into a hostel.
Like any other student, I too struggled at first to make the necessary modifications. However, everything else seems insignificant when obtaining a top-notch education is the main priority, according to this SBGNS Rural Composite PU College student.
In addition to being a dance enthusiast, this guy has taken part in Bharatanatyam competitions that have been recognized by Guinness World Records. In one such instance, she performed with 5,541 dancers during a rain dance event, setting a record for the most people to participate in the activity on one platform. She also has a diploma from Navaratri Natya Samarpana Vaibhavam, an event that had 3,849 dancers on a single platform and was entered into the Indian Traditional Book of Records.
Ashritha claimed that she aced tests because she made numerous changes while in college. “The syllabus was finished two months ahead of the test. Every day, we were given exam papers from the prior year to complete,” she claimed. In her college, this CA candidate has started her first coaching session for the same.
Harshith H. S., a CA candidate, obtained rank two in commerce. He combined his studies in accounting, business, statistics, and economics.
“I would pay close attention to the talks. I didn’t show up for tuition. Getting over last year’s papers was helpful. Our college instructors did a good job of explaining key ideas. One issue I encountered was not having access to gadgets when staying at a hostel and trying to access the exam papers from the previous year said this topper from Tirthalli, who moved to Udupi to study as this is a primary education hub.
Vidyalakshmi A, a student from Vidyanikethan Science PU College, Huballi secured a 598 score on 600 and is the topper in the Science stream. She chose the PCMB combination in PU. “I did not attend coaching or private tutorials to study. Our college faculty have been supportive. We had weekly exams in college. I did not miss even one of them. I had a 100 percent attendance in college. This is what helped me ace,” she recollects.
