To enhance EV knowledge, Mercedes-Benz and RV College of Engineering work together.
In an effort to create talent for the electric vehicle and automotive industries, Mercedes-Benz India and Mercedes-Benz Research & Development India have partnered to improve skill development at R.V. College of Engineering.
The partnership adds an electric vehicle (EV) element to R.V. College of Engineering’s Advanced Diploma in Automotive Mechatronics (ADAM) programme in Bengaluru. Furthermore, Mercedes-Benz Research & Development India has set up a cutting-edge electric vehicle facility to offer practical learning opportunities.
The program, which was launched by prominent figures like Shekhar Bhide, Vice-President of Mercedes-Benz India, and Manu Saale, MD and CEO of MBRDI, intends to give students the skills they need for the changing automotive sector, especially in the area of electric mobility.
Manu Saale stressed the value of a trained staff in promoting a sustainable electric vehicle ecosystem when discussing the program. He emphasized the EV Lab’s and the upgraded program’s immersive learning possibilities, which are designed to prepare students for the challenges of the future in mobility.
The ADAM course includes the recently added EV module, which is intended to provide thorough instruction in state-of-the-art EV technologies that comply with international industry standards. To enable in-person training sessions and live demonstrations, the EV Lab is furnished with cutting-edge technologies and simulation dynamics.
Shekhar Bhide emphasized the significance of programs aimed at re- and upskilling workers in order to equip them for the upcoming era of e-mobility. In order to prepare students for the workforce, he stressed that academic curricula must change to meet the changing needs of the Indian EV sector.
The partnership seeks to meet the increasing need for EV-trained workers and provide students with chances to succeed in the automotive industry. Regarding the improved EV module’s ability to provide students a competitive edge and prosperous career possibilities, Dr. MP Shyam expressed optimism.
Since its launch by Mercedes-Benz in 2006, the Advanced Driver Assistance Module (ADAM) course has proven effective in numerous technical institutes throughout the nation, providing students with a high employability rate and useful insights into cutting-edge vehicle technology.
